Isola Bella

Isola Bella is the right place if you want to spend a beautiful day among nature, sea and small boat excursions. At low tide, a long stretch of sand connects the island to the mainland, making for a relaxing and picturesque walk.

The island has been nicknamed the ‘Pearl of the Mediterranean‘ by German Baron Wilhelm von Gloeden. In 1998 it was declared a nature reserve, managed first by the WWF and then by the environmental protection centre of the University of Catania. The island is only 30 km from the Baglio delle Rose B&B.
